My present call sign was my grandfather Robert S. Anderson's longtime call sign. He was an active ham from starting in the early 1960's in North Ridgeville, Ohio. He was originally WN8IPZ, then WA8NTW, and lastly N8BTE. He was SK in 1991. One of the fellows I remember he would QSO with was Harold Crombie WA8WWI of Elyria, Ohio. When the vanity call sign system came into being, I jumped at the chance to get the call I remember as a kid with my grandpa in his shack.

I am a Mechanical Engineer. Steam power is my main experience with turbine, generator, boiler power plant experience. Fossil, nuclear, and gas turbine power are in my experience base. Lately I have been into designing industrial chilled water, steam, cooling tower, and process cooling systems.

Interests are machinery, amateur radio, photography, computers, and history.
