Zimmy passed away at the age of at the Franciscan Villa in South Milwaukee, Wisconsin while in Hospice care. He left to share in his memories his wife: Virginia J.; sons: Don and Ron; grandchildren: Jestine, Immanuel, Arron and Justin; four great-grandchildren; siblings: John (Irene), Bill (Donna), Margaret (Eugene) Zagrodnik and Judith (Ken) Simon; other relatives and friends. Zimmy was an artist, musician and sports enthusiast who was in love with life! He played the guitar and mandolin, sketched, painted and carved. He was an avid golfer and a dyed-in-the-wool Packer fan! Little children always made him smile and his home always had an open door, with the Welcome mat rolled out. Zimmy honorably served our country as a Staff Sergeant in the United States Army Air Corps during World War II. He enlisted in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on September 9, 1942 for the duration of the war or other emergency, plus six months, all subject to the discretion of the United States of America President or other acting law. He is now reunited in eternal life with his son Charlie. |
