John McCurdie was a son of John F. and Helen Penner McCurdie. He married Lorene Moore on December 18, 1971, at Arrowsmith, Illinois.
Surviving are several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.
Jack had farmed in the Towanda area for more than 25 years. He was a graduate of Lane Tech High School, Chicago.
He served with the U.S. Air Force 389th Bomb Group during World War II.
He was a member of the Colfax American Legion Davis Kerber Post 653, Colfax, a member of the Towanda Masonic Lodge 542 AF&AM, Bloomington Scottish Rites Bodies and Mohammed Temple Shrine.
Jack was active in the McLean County Shriner's Tin Lizzie Patrol.
