Lewis D. Davy, 75, of New Milford, PA entered into rest on January 3, 2018 surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Lois.
Lew is also survived by his children, Kim and Lanny God, Bob and Veronica Davy, and Jason Davy; five grandchildren, Nathan Hines, Rachel Hines, Robert Davy Jr., Cheyanne Davy, and Stacie Davy; a sister, Anitra Woodbury; his mother-in-law, Margaret Mogridge; and several nieces and nephews.
Lew was employed with Proctor & Gamble for 23 years. After retiring from P&G, he continued his career in Real Estate. He was an active member of the community, serving with the Tunkhannock Ambulance as an EMT and past president, Wyoming County Emergency Management Association as a communications officer, and participated in emergency drills. He also volunteered as a Little League Coach. Lew became a licensed amateur radio operator and was a charter member and former president of the Endless Mountain Amateur Radio Club. Lew was a member of Susquehanna County Foundation Sportsmanâs Club as an Alternate Delegate, a member of the New Milford Gun Club, and a member of the Harford Lodge 445 F&AM. He enjoyed being outside, hunting, fishing, and lived on a farmette with their two beloved horses. His family has fond memories of gathering around a camp fire, singing, and hearing him play the harmonica. Lew truly enjoyed his life, adored his family, and his community.
A prayer service will be held on Monday, January 8, 2018 at the Tuttle-Yeisley Funeral Home, Inc. with Father David Cramer. Friends may call from 2-4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
