John Reynolds, 85, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 23, 2007, in Orange Park, Fla. Born June 1, 1921, Mr. Reynolds was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Navy, a building engineer, a lover of history and books and a HAM radio operator. In his leisure time, he enjoyed golf, baseball and numerous volunteer activities.
Mr. Reynolds will always be remembered by his dedication to his family and his never-ending sense of humor. Preceded in death by his loving wife, Joanne Given Reynolds.
He is survived by three children, Teresa "Terry" Parker and her husband, Paul Parker, of Orange Park, Mike Reynolds of Fort Walton, Fla., and Kathleen Klumpp of San Antonio; 13 grandchildren, Brenda Ballard, Jeffrey Boykin, Mac Reynolds, Chris Reynolds, Sarah Reynolds, John Reynolds, Meagan Reynolds, Jennifer Klumpp, Ian Klumpp, Paige Klumpp, Nico Klumpp, Shawn Parker and Shane Parker; and great-grandchildren, Kristen Ballard, Blake Ballard, Joseph Boykin and Caleb Boykin.
Visiting at Greenoaks Funeral Home chapel, 9595 Florida Blvd., until religious service. Burial in Greenoaks Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
