I was born and raised in Massachusetts. Entered the US Air Force in 1958 as an aircraft instrument and navagation specialist. I was fortunate enough to travel to several different countries around the world. On discharge I went to work as an instrument mechanic, electrician and Aircraft and Powerplant mechanic for a major airline. After almost 20 years, I quit and went to work in a flight test facility for a company that made jet engines. During production changes I left and went to work for a company as a flight engineer on a Gulfstream survey aircraft. This job took me to many more countries and around the world. Being tired of travel, I quit there and went to work as a turbine engine troubleshooter and installation engineer for commuter and business jets. More travel...After 25 years there, I decided to retire with almost 50 years in the aviation industry. I posess ham licenses from USA, Chile, French Polynesia and Australia. I received my first ham license in 1964. My extra class was obtained in 1985. I am a Volunteer Examiner and also enjoy working with Emergency Communications with ARES, Red Cross, Skywarn and Homeland Defense. I have always enjoyed doing something nobody has done before.
