Samuel Reisinger, age 79, of Valparaiso, IN, passed away on Wednesday, September 6, 2017. He was born on January 6, 1938 in York, PA to Samuel H. Sr. and Lillian M. (Bligh) Reisinger who preceded him in death.
Samuel is survived by his wife of 52 years, Jean (Fogarty) Reisinger; son, John Reisinger; daughters, Peggy (Patrick Jury) Reisinger, Mary (Ed Price) Reisinger and Michelle (Richard) Keen; four grandchildren, Kristin, Bryan, Brandon and Felicia; two great grandchildren, Cambria and Lucas; and sister, Elizabeth .Betty. Stitley.
Samuel retired from Bethlehem Steel after 33 years of service. He was a US Airforce Veteran and was a member of the American Legion Post 502, Lions Club of South Haven and a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, September 11, 2017 at 1:00 pm at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, 356 W. 700 N., Valparaiso, IN 46385 with Father Paul Quanz officiating. Visitation will be held on Monday, September 11, 2017 from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm at Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home, Portage Chapel, 6941 Central Ave., Portage, IN 46368. Burial will follow at Heritage Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the South Haven Lions Club.
