It is with sadness that we learned early yesterday morning of the passing of Lowell Bennington. He was a past SEC for the Tennessee Section and served as an Assistant Division Director under David Norris K5UZ.
We currently have no information concerning funeral arrangements.
We have received additional information concerning funeral arrangements for WD4DJW Lowell Bennington:
We (the family)have decided on Friday, January 2nd, 2015 from 5:30-8:00pm EST for visitation & Saturday, January 3rd, 2015 at 1:30pm EST for his memorial service. Both will take place at Pilgrim Congregational Church, 400 Glenwood Drive, Chattanooga, TN 37404. (The corner of 3rd & Glenwood, in front of Notre Dame Highschool.)
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to one of the following:
The American Cancer Society;
The American Red Cross of Southeast Tennessee;
The Hiram Percy Maxim Memorial Fund of the American Radio Relay League;
Troop 82, Cherokee Area Council, Boy Scouts of America.
