Nets & operating activitiesFriendship, knowledge, and service connect our members - locally, on the air, and online.

The Quarter Century Wireless Association brings together experienced radio amateurs to build friendships, share knowledge, and preserve the heritage of amateur radio. Founded in 1947, QCWA connects members through local chapters, on-air activity, publications, and online programs.
Our members have been licensed for at least 25 years and hold a current amateur license. Their experience supports a living community: learning from one another, recognizing achievement, and helping newer operators get started.
QCWA chapters organize gatherings, presentations, operating activities, and service projects suited to their communities. Chapters are self-governing and operate within the QCWA Constitution and Bylaws.
Members may participate in more than one chapter and designate a home chapter for association records. A local chapter is one way to connect; online programs and on-air nets also bring members together.
QCWA partners with the ARRL Foundation to support qualified licensed amateur radio students pursuing degrees at accredited colleges and universities.
A QCWA member in good standing can provide a reference letter for any licensed student who meets the scholarship requirements. Students do not need 25 years of licensing to apply.
