Robert Emil Sayko, 87, of Everett, passed away Saturday, August 18, 2007.
He was born in Wallace, Idaho on November 3, 1919. Robert graduated from high school and worked in Wallace until joining the US Army. Bob served in World War II in the Pacific Theater. Returning to Wallace after the war he married his wife of 60 years, Edith Mae Roberts. He then worked as a Journeyman Electrician in the mining industry.
Robert brought his family to Everett in 1954 after accepting an Electrician position at Scott Paper Co. where he worked for 30 years. He enjoyed 25 years of retirement, most with his wife "Edie Mae" who preceded him in death in 2005. In retirement he enjoyed working with Ham Radio clubs, gaining friends all over the country. Bob also pursued his passion for art, especially the medium of water colors and enjoyed playing golf with his friends.
Robert is survived by his children, Mark and Denise; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 11:30 a.m., Friday, August 24, 2007, at St. Mary Magdalen Parish . 8717 - 7th Ave S.E., Everett, WA 98208.
Private committal service at Cypress Lawn Memorial Park.
