Bruce L. La Pointe
Orlando, FL

QCWA # 34874
Chapter 45

Licensed since April of 1977.
Station consist of a Icom IC-756PROIII, IC-746pro, Yaesu FT-1000MP, FT-890AT, FT-100 mobile.
Drake L-7 amplifier and Drake MN-2700 tuner, Kenwood SM-220 scope.
Hallicrafters SX-122 receiver used for SWL'ing.
W2IHY EQPLUS and 8 Band EQ with various Heil mic's (PR-781, ICM, Heil Proset 3 headset). AEA PK900 still in use once in a while for packet monitoring and digital stuff but use Ham Radio Deluxe mostly. MMTTY and N1MM for RTTY contesting.

Use K1EL Winkeyer USB and sometimes a AEA MM-3 keyer for CW.
Finally a Mosley TA-36 at 50ft that has weathered numerous Hurricanes including Charlie and the 2 others in 2004. Didn't even budge any of the elements. It has been up since 1984 without having to fix anything except the coaxial balun was replaced about a year ago due to old age. Mosley is my choice for HF beam antenna after seeing what it can handle, low maintenance is a BIG plus for me.

I also enjoy contesting, and digital modes, including D-STAR. See W4AES and KJ4MMC for repeaters I manage. You can also find me on Echolink node 38985 and IRLP node 4904. Usually the IRLP node is connected to Reflector 9050.
I have worked for Amateur Electronic Supply - Orlando store since April 1981.
Enjoy meeting ham radio operators from all over the world.

73 and thanks for reading my bio on QRZ,
See you on the air, - Bruce.
