First Call: WB3HIY issued in 1979       Other Call(s): KA8JGT N8DAC

I've been interested in amateur radio all my life. I received my first call in 1977 - WB3HIY while living in PA. My Elmer is K8RL - Robert Lee, (first licensed as WN8IHZ) in Fairmont WV. "Bob" introduced me to electronics in high school.

When I moved to Columbus, Ohio in 1979 I was given KA8JGT as a call, but quickly changed it to N8DAC. I retained N8DAC until my upgrade to Extra Class in 1989 as WS8B.

Antennas and power supplies are my choice of home-brew projects - both extreme ends of the radio system.

I am in Bellbrook Ohio (near Xenia) and have been an off and on resident of Ohio for 30+ years.

Currently, I am on the Hamvention(r) committee as the co-chair of Awards. Being on the awards committee gives me great satisfaction in recognizing some of the top contributors to the art and science of amateur radio.

I have served Hamvention in various capacities since 1991 and enjoy seeing this momentous project come together every year.

I have also been Technical Advisor for the Ohio Section for more years than I can count.
