Michael James Clarson, 68, of Bloomfield, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, January 12, 2020.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the Visitation at Walter Johnson Funeral Home, 803 Raritan Rd, Clark, on Thursday, January 16 from 3 - 7 pm. A Celebration of Life will be held at 5:30 pm. Final Disposition will be private.
Michael was born in Manhattan and lived in Clark and Glen Ridge, prior to moving to Bloomfield 38 years ago. He received his BS in Electrical Engineering from NJIT and was a member of the NJIT NYC Metro Alumni since 2016.
Michael was a Communication Engineer at Parson's Transportation in Newark and New York City for 6 years. He was an amateur Ham radio operator since he was 10 years old. His call sign was WV2ZOW. He was a member of the Radio Club of America since 1981 and was elevated to a Fellow and was also a Board Member.
He was a member of the Girl Scout Heart of New Jersey and was the recipient of their honor pin.
Michael was predeceased by his father Gerald Clarson. He is survived by his beloved wife of 42 years, Jean (Murzenski) Clarson; his devoted daughter of Sara Jean Clarson; his loving mother Vera (Gurin) Clarson and his dear brother Richard John Clarson and his wife Christine.

Mike, having obtained his amateur radio incense at the age of 10 in 1961, began a lifelong commitment to the science and art of radio communications.
Professionally, his career included both commercial and public safety land mobile communications, first as a technician with Motorola C&E, then Director - Technical Operations with Airsignal International (radio paging/mobile phones).
Then, after spending several years with cellular startups, Mike joined RCC Consultants, Inc. where, for over 22 years he has been designing and implementing commercial, and public safety communications systems.
Currently with PARSONS Corporation, he is the RF Design lead for various public safety and rail transit projects, such as the World Trade Center Transportation Hub and campus in New York, the East Side Access, which brings Long Island Railroad trains into Grand Central Terminal and Hudson Yards where the Long Island Rail yard by Penn Station NY is being overbuilt with high rise buildings.
