Thanks for visiting the WX8P QRZ page. I've been a ham since 1978. My original call was KA8GPW. I applied for a vanity call back in 1997 and was issued W8AJN - my initials. In March, 2015 the WX8P vanity call was available and was issued to me. My wife Debbie (N8MXN) and son Arthur (KC8AWQ) are also hams. I've been involved in and enjoy all aspects of the hobby. I'm very interested and very active with all the digital modes - D-Star, DMR and Yaesu Fusion. You can usually find me monitoring the D-Star reflector 030C, or on one of the many Dayton, Ohio area D-Star, DMR, or Fusion repeaters. I enjoy employing the latest and greatest digital technology and integrating RF with the PC. I'm also a big fan of the 220MHz FM band being an active user since I was first licensed. I enjoy the low bands, especially running my Apache Anan 200D SDR. I also like running my legacy Collins S-Line, or my Kenwood hybrid TS-830S that I purchased new back in 1979 - it still works the way it did when I bought it many years ago! As you can see from my pics I have a fairly decent collection of "junk" that I've acquired over the years! March 17, 2017 |
