"Traian Bratescu-YO7AGD, pioneer of radioamatorism in Romania"
Nearly 30 years ago, on September 16, 1985, Calimanesti was killed, who was the amateur colonel Traian Bratescu - YO7AGD. Traian Bratescu was with his brother Caesar, one of the pioneers of radioamatorism in our country. It has, with the ER5AG, the first bilateral link with an Atlantic amateur radio station with the W8BAZ station in the US. He was one of the promoters of radioamatorism in Romania, especially in Vala County, Râamu Vâealand Calimanesti town, where he directed as a volunteer instructor of radio amateur groups in school clubs and the County Amateur Association.
Traian Bratescu was a member of the "The Old Timers Club", an association that received radio amateurs with over 40 years of radio amateurism.
30 years after Traian Bratescu - YO7AGD's inauguration, at the initiative of the radio amateurs of our association, we will commemorate our forerunner through the memorial.
