Bring your radio experience

You may already qualify.

You need a current amateur radio license and an amateur license held 25 years ago or more. You may join during the calendar year in which you qualify; you do not need to have been continuously licensed for all 25 years.

Proof of your first license

Send a photograph or scan of your original license, a dated logbook page, or a QSL card to the Office Manager. Include your name, current call sign, first call sign, and first year licensed.

Can’t find your old records? The office can help research historical callbooks. Records published the following year may need an additional check.

Ask about license verification

Three simple steps

From application to connection.

  1. Choose your membership.
Select Join or Renew, then choose your type and term.
  2. Complete your details.
Provide your call sign and contact information. New applicants should arrange first-license verification with the office.
  3. Connect with QCWA.
Once your membership is entered into the administrative database, Members Only access is normally available after the next morning’s update.

Prefer to mail your application?

Paper works, too.

US applicants can use the fillable PDF for a new membership or renewal. Fill it in on your computer and print it, or print a blank copy and complete it by hand.

Sign the application and mail it with a check or money order in US dollars. Use the current office address shown here and on the application.

Open the paper application ↗

Most browsers can open PDFs. If a field will not save properly, download the form and open it in a PDF reader.

A little help before you begin

Common membership questions.

Does my license have to be continuous for 25 years?

No. You must hold a current amateur radio license and have held an amateur license 25 years ago or more. Gaps in licensing do not automatically disqualify you.

Does a Family member need to qualify individually?

Yes. A Family member must meet QCWA’s licensing requirements and reside at the same address as the Regular member. Contact the office if you are unsure which type to choose.

I do not know my QCWA membership number. Can I renew?

The renewal form asks for your QCWA number if known. Provide your current call sign and contact details; the office can help locate your membership record.

When will I be able to use the Members Only area?

Access normally follows the next morning’s update after your membership is entered into the administrative database. If you need help after processing, email om@qcwa.org.

How do I update my email address, call sign, or mailing address?

Contact the Office Manager at om@qcwa.org. Include your name, call sign, membership number if known, and the information you want updated.

We are glad you are here

Let’s keep the friendship going.

Whether you are joining for the first time or renewing a familiar connection, thank you for being part of QCWA.
